Congratiolations to Lola Hennessey and Sam Crawford, who have been selected to represent NZ at the Junior World Championships in Konya, Turkey!

The Junior World Championships is the highest level of Karate Competition for the 14/15, 16/17 and Under 21 age divisions. Lola placed 5th at the last Junior Worlds in Satiago, Chile in 2019. This was the best result from any Kumite (sparring) athlete in over 10 years! Lola looks forward to getting to Turkey and achieving an even better result this time. Sam Will be turning 18 just a month before the event, pushing him up into the Under 21 years division. This will be a big challenge for Sam, with the 18+ rules allowing for more contact and longer fight times.
